What Sets YHWH’s People Apart?

What does it mean to be set apart? In a world where morals are constantly shifting, YHWH’s laws of holiness remain unchanging and eternal. These laws served not to restrict, but to guide, protect, and sanctify His chosen people. The commandments and laws on diet, purity, and morality are not outdated, contrary to popular misconception. They are divine instructions designed to bring life, health, and closeness to YHWH. --- They are designed to make us Holy

Holiness defines both our actions and our identity. It is not just about what we do, it is about who we are. To be holy means to be separate from the world and dedicated to YHWH’s purpose.

Did you know that many of the commandments that people dismiss today actually hold the key to spiritual strength, health, and divine connection? Let’s uncover the hidden power of YHWH’s laws of holiness.

📖 Leviticus 11:44 (KJV): "For I am YHWH your Elohim: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy..."

Dietary Laws

The dietary laws provide both physical health benefits and spiritual purity and obedience.

YHWH declared certain animals clean and unclean as acts of protection.

  • When we eat according to YHWH’s instructions, we align ourselves with His divine order and wisdom.

The Dietary Laws: Feeding the Body, Mind, and Spirit

THE BODY:

Physically Eating Unclean Foods

Leviticus 11:7-8 (KJV): “And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.”

What is Swine?

Physically eating swine means consuming pork and its byproducts, which include bacon, ham, sausage, lard, etc. Swine (pigs) are biologically designed to be scavengers, meaning they eat anything including garbage, feces, and all manner of filth. They are cannibals that eat other animals, humans, and their own kind.

Article: “And when they're not either squealing or talking, pigs will eat almost anything – including human bones. In 2012, a farmer in Oregon, America, was eaten by his pigs after having a heart attack and falling into their enclosure. By the time a concerned relative came looking for him, only his dentures were left.”

Swine, or pigs, are unclean animals according to YHWH’s dietary laws. Unlike clean animals, pigs do not have sweat glands, which means toxins stay in their bodies. Because they process food so quickly, harmful bacteria, parasites, and toxins remain in their flesh, making them dangerous for human consumption.

📖 Isaiah 65:4 (KJV): “Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels.”

What is a Scavenger?

A scavenger is an animal that feeds on the dead, decayed, or impure, such as vultures, crabs, shrimp, lobsters, and many other land and sea foods.

📖 Proverbs 26:11 (KJV): “As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.”

Dietary Laws

The dietary laws provide both physical health benefits and spiritual purity and obedience.

YHWH declared certain animals clean and unclean as acts of protection.

THE MIND:

Swine-Minded & The Scavenger Mentality

The Physical Impacts on Mental Clarity

  • Many unclean animals (such as pork and shellfish) contain toxins, heavy metals, and harmful bacteria that affect brain function.

  • Studies show that consuming unclean meats can lead to brain fog, fatigue, and neurological issues due to inflammation and toxin buildup.

  • YHWH’s dietary laws help maintain mental clarity, sharpness, and balanced emotions by protecting the brain from harmful substances.

Mental and Spiritual Connection

  • What we consume physically affects how we think. Eating unclean foods filled with toxins can create brain fog, depression, and poor decision-making.

Swine-Minded: A Carnal and Rebellious Mentality

Pigs eat anything—filth, waste, and even their own kind. Eating is another word for consuming. When we consume (or eat) physically, we are also mentally eating and consuming.

What are we mentally consuming? - Information.

When you learn that eating swine is against the laws of YHWH and you choose to eat it anyway, you are consciously choosing to be "swine-minded" or have a "scavenger mentality."

Being "swine-minded" or having a "scavenger mentality" carries deep spiritual and mental implications.

THE SPIRITUAL:

This mirrors a spiritually unclean mindset that accepts lies, corruption, and ungodly influences without discernment.

  • Those who embrace unclean thoughts and actions eventually experience spiritual numbness—unable to recognize truth, hear YHWH’s voice, or walk in discernment.

  • YHWH calls His people to be set apart, feeding on His Word and living by His wisdom rather than indulging in filth, deception, and spiritual death.

The Spiritual Connection: Purity of Mind and Soul

In Scripture, swine and scavengers are declared unclean physically, mentally, and spiritually. When it comes to swine in particular, we are told not to eat it and not to even touch the swine.

Their nature symbolizes deeper issues of mindset and behavior:

In Scripture, swine also symbolizes spiritual uncleanness, rebellion, and indulgence. Pigs consume filth without discernment, just as some people indulge in sin, lies, and ungodly influences without seeking truth.

📖 Matthew 7:6 (KJV): “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine.”

Swine and Scavenger Mentality: Living on Impurity

A swine consumes anything, including waste and filth. A swine-minded person is one who rejects wisdom, indulges in sinful things, and refuses correction.

  • People with a scavenger mindset are spiritual scavengers who thrive on drama, sin, and destruction, rather than seeking YHWH’s truth, wisdom, peace, and holiness.

Spiritually, a scavenger mindset represents those who thrive on negativity, corruption, and deception and consciously choose to reject YHWH’s wisdom and truth

  • Spiritual scavengers rely on worldly sources instead of seeking YHWH for provision and truth.

  • Disregarding YHWH’s food laws can introduce spiritual impurity, making it harder to receive divine wisdom and revelation.

  • Swine trample over what is valuable, just as those with a rebellious heart trample over YHWH’s truth.

  • Swine trample over what is valuable and do not recognize truth.

  • A swine-minded person rejects wisdom, embraces sin, and refuses correction.

📖 Proverbs 26:11 (KJV): “As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.”

Scavengers feed off death, decay, and filth, symbolizing those who survive on deception, negativity, and spiritual pollution.

When people disregard YHWH’s dietary laws and consume unclean foods, they unknowingly align themselves with spiritual uncleanness leading to clouded judgment, distorted thinking, and separation from divine wisdom.

📖 Leviticus 11:45 (KJV): “For I am YHWH that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your Elohim: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.”

  • Just as physical pollution clogs the body, spiritual pollution clogs discernment, making it harder to hear YHWH’s voice.

Let’s Review

Unclean animals are often scavengers and carriers of disease, accumulating toxins and harmful bacteria that can negatively affect the human body. Consumption of these animals has been linked to increased risks of parasites, infections, and chronic illnesses. YHWH’s wisdom in designating clean and unclean foods was not only a health precaution but also a way to keep His people in divine alignment and purity.

Eating unclean foods can introduce physical impurities that weaken the body, making it more susceptible to sickness. Spiritually, disregarding YHWH’s dietary laws disconnects us from His divine order, creating barriers in our relationship with Him. There is also a mental connection, what we consume affects our clarity, focus, and emotional stability. Unclean foods, filled with toxins, can cloud the mind, making it harder to discern YHWH’s wisdom and hear His voice clearly.

When we follow His dietary laws, we promote not only physical well-being but also mental sharpness and spiritual alignment. Obedience to these laws preserves health and also strengthens our connection with the Most High, keeping us spiritually and physically set apart.

Holiness is the mark of YHWH’s chosen people. The laws concerning diet, purity, and morality provide spiritual elevation, protection, and blessing.

The question is: Are you set apart, or are you blending in with the world?

We will continue uncovering the truth behind YHWH’s laws all month long.
